Attending oral school reunion is like attending butcher's birthday party!
Glad you had good time the past weekend at oral school reunion - There is something that you all need to take to your hearts and think it over - the more you go in that direction - you are hurting the deaf community. You use sign language, yet you go to the place where it is oppressed in classrooms as well as its philosophy. It is double standard. This is why I have boycotted oral school reunions since 1981. I asked some members to make motion to have 51% deaf on board, hire Deaf teachers to be role models to deaf students, incorporate the use of ASL in classrooms and reduce audism at the school.
It is ironic how the members suckered up to the hearing people at oral school and how they swept the suggested motions under the rug. This is how and why I gave them the OSTRICH Award. They continue to stick their heads in ground while deaf issues fly over.
I am telling you that it is like sending sick children to a butcher's birthday party. I have to do this kind of analogy to show comparison of how hearing people are treating deaf children in that capacity. It is like Mask of Benevolence....the cochlear implant companies are greedy and raking in millions of dollars. They are abusing the system already.
The more the hearing people in oral programs use you, the more the public views them as higher authority on deaf culture. They are using you for propaganda to further their goals as part of their pathological quest for recognition in medical field
Lastly, I made the move to demand that the oral school remove my great great uncle, Henry W. Kiel, (Mayor of St. Louis - 1913-1925) from any publications or any comments in their websites or pamphlets or any PR stuff. I did not want my ancestor to be part of that oral school program like I have refused to acknowledge anymore that part. I know I cannot change history, but the bottom line is they cannot use it anymore.
So it is important that the members stand up and request those changes. We have been guinea pigs long enough and it is time to sign "Enough is enough!"
Look at many changes around the country and the world in reducing audism. You need to take the lead and go in the right direction!

AG BELL IS STILL A PUBLIC ENEMY #1
AG Bell is considered a public enemy #1 in the eyes of the deaf communities worldwide!
"On April 8th, 1886, Patent Examiner Zenas Fisk Wilber in a sworn affidavit admits receiving $100 from Bell for showing him the original drawing of the telephone transmitter in Gray's caveat." ((From Telephone Gambit)) -
that was how AG Bell stole the invention and stole our deaf lives! He can burn in hell for eternity! The most conniving and snake oil salesman of 19th century!
Bell fooking bribed for $100.00 and Bell amassed fortune based on lies!
He then lied about oralism and AG Bell Association/Volta Review... Everything is a BIG LIE!
In 1884, Bell published a paper “Upon the Formation of a Deaf Variety of the Human Race,” in which he warned of a “great calamity” facing the nation: deaf people were forming clubs, socializing with one another and, consequently, marrying other deaf people. The creation of a “deaf race” that yearly would grow larger and more insular was underway. Bell noted that “a special language adapted for the use of such a race” already was in existence, “a language as different from English as French or German or Russian.” Some eugenicists called for legislation outlawing intermarriage by deaf people, but Bell rejected such a ban as impractical. Instead he proposed the following steps: “(1) Determine the causes that promote intermarriages among the deaf and dumb; and (2) remove them. The causes he sought to remove were sign language, deaf teachers, and residential schools. His solution was the creation of special day schools taught by hearing teachers who would enforce a ban on sign language. ((Through Deaf Eyes))
More lies coming from Bell - it is time to rectify the wrongs!
Suffice to say, he was stupid man who feared.. His own mommy and wife were deaf, too. What the fook!
He established barbaric methods to force millions and millions worldwide of poor deaf children through his evil empire a.k.a. oralism.
Shame on AG BELL!
$100.00 in 1886 could amount to $10,000.00 today... it is probable...the truth prevails!

Do you recall the times when there was a deaf person on reality show such as Survivor, The Amazing Race, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Super Nanny, and few other television shows that we all huddled and glued our eyes on television? Don’t you love when you see a deaf person on television and feel the pride being Deaf?

Kevin Meyer is one of Deaf Way’s Independent Contractor and Michelle Weider is one of DEAF Inc’s Program Specialists. Kevin and Michelle are auditioning for the couple spots in The Biggest Loser.
There are ways to get The Biggest Loser to notice those two deaf candidates:
1. Visit their video on YouTube to increase the number of viewers (The current number is under one thousand viewers, we need to get them over ten thousand viewers)
2. Spread the word about their video on YouTube and encourage other deaf people to support them (Each time you play it doesn’t increase the number, you need to play it at different IP address, that’s why I encourage you to send the link to other deaf people)
3. Post it as a page on Facebook
4. Tweet about it on Twitter
5. Write an article about them in local newspaper
6. Contact Channel 2, 4, and 5 about them auditioning for The Biggest Loser
7. Get more support everywhere, not just in the state of Missouri…go nationwide and international

2012 is time to tell EHDI to pull up their socks!
This idiom means "If you aren't satisfied with someone and want them to do better, you can tell them to pull up their socks."
I am not satisfied yet with EHDI (Early Hearing Detection and Intervention) programs and I would like to help them to do better so it means telling them to pull up their socks! I noticed throughout the country that their information seems biased and not detailing enough about American Sign Language and our proud Deaf culture. More needs to be done!
