Will Governor Nixon replace the audists at Missouri Department of Mental Health please?
As of today, Governor Nixon is now managing our state. I am congratulating him for starting today as the new Governor of Missouri. I did vote for him and I am ready to call him with my request.
I wonder what his choice will be for Director of Missouri Department of Mental Health. I am requesting the change of regime at DMH. They have been stalling the efforts of our needs for mental health programs for the deaf. The current officials at Missouri Department of Mental Health are not doing their jobs and their heads need to roll.
Please help me call Governor Nixon to request that he replace Keith Schafer at Department of Mental Health. Tell Governor that he has been hurting the deaf community by not doing anything for years for the needs of mental health services and programs for the deaf.

They have been mismanaging the funds and spent $539,000.00 on interpreters. They did not listen to us when we requested that they use the money to pay for deaf mental health professionals. It is cheaper and effective. I am sure you, the Governor is looking for reasonable costs to be efficient for programs. It will only cost about 50 percent of current spending.
